4.5.1. Rebuild Connection

4.5.1. Rebuild Connection

Recreates weld neck and gasket connections in the drawing. This command is useful if connections are corrupted or if the project configuration changes.

Ribbon Button: Tools > Rebuild
Command: PiCriRebuildConnection

Typical use case: If an isometric drawing does not reflect the actual state in the 3D model – for example, because gaskets or weld neck components are displayed incorrectly – rebuilding the connection provides a remedy. Afterwards, the production isometric drawing again delivers consistent data.

How it works:

  1. PiCri scans all connectors in the drawing.
  2. It identifies connections whose sub-parts contain weld neck or gasket components and that have at least two connected parts.
  3. For each such connector, it deletes the existing connector and reconnects the two parts, effectively rebuilding the connection from scratch.
  4. A progress bar is displayed during processing.

Before rebuilding, a plant audit (PLANTAUDIT) is performed to ensure data integrity.
