4.5.1. Rebuild Connection
4.5.1. Rebuild Connection
Recreates weld neck and gasket connections in the drawing. This command is useful if connections are corrupted or if the project configuration changes.
Ribbon Button: Tools > Rebuild
Command: PiCriRebuildConnection
Typical use case: If an isometric drawing does not reflect the actual state in the 3D model – for example, because gaskets or weld neck components are displayed incorrectly – rebuilding the connection provides a remedy. Afterwards, the production isometric drawing again delivers consistent data.
How it works:
- PiCri scans all connectors in the drawing.
- It identifies connections whose sub-parts contain weld neck or gasket components and that have at least two connected parts.
- For each such connector, it deletes the existing connector and reconnects the two parts, effectively rebuilding the connection from scratch.
- A progress bar is displayed during processing.
Before rebuilding, a plant audit (PLANTAUDIT) is performed to ensure data integrity.
