7.1.2. Behavior after the SuCri test phase has expired
Behavior after expiration of the SuCri test phase
Learn what impact the end of the trial period has on your SuCri projects and which functions remain available. We recommend that you check licensing early to avoid work interruptions during the design phase.
Prerequisites
You have already worked with the SuCri test phase and projects have been created or edited using Module 1 (M1).
Status of project data after the end of the trial
After the test phase expires, the use of Module 1 (M1) is automatically restricted. The effects are broken down as follows:
- Already placed components: All previously placed components remain fully intact in the 3D model. They retain all properties, attributes, and metadata. Model integrity is preserved.
- Editing existing stock and evaluation: Existing components can still be edited without restriction. Evaluations such as isometrics, MTO (material lists), and reports remain fully functional.
- New placement: After the end of the test phase, no more new components can be placed from the pipe spec. The placement logic is locked until a valid license is stored.
The expected result after expiration is a "read-only" status for new placements, while existing data and project results (files) remain usable without data loss.
Important Notes
- Timely planning: Before the test phase expires, ensure whether a license renewal or full version is required for project completion.
- Seamless continuation: Projects can be continued at any time. As soon as a valid license is activated, the placement function is immediately available again.
- Backup: No blockages occur on the project files due to the expiration of the trial license.
Troubleshooting
If you are still unable to place components after purchasing a full license, please check the license manager to see if the new license has been activated correctly or restart the application to update the license status.
