SuCri – Check System Requirements
To ensure that you can use the SuCri software reliably and with full performance, your system should meet the following requirements. An optimal hardware configuration ensures that even complex designs in the CAD environment can be processed without delays.
Prerequisites
Before you begin the installation, ensure that the following software components are pre-installed and ready for operation on your system:
- Autodesk Plant 3D (Version 2024 or newer)
- Autodesk Advance Steel (Version 2024 or newer)
- .NET Framework 4.8
Step-by-Step Instructions
Check your hardware specifications using the following steps to ensure basic compatibility for SuCri:
-
Step 1: Match system components
Compare your existing hardware with the minimum values below:
- Operating System: Windows 10 (64-bit) or higher
- Processor: Intel Core i5 or equivalent
- Memory (RAM): 8 GB
- Graphics Card: DirectX 11 compatible, at least 2 GB VRAM
- Hard Drive Space: 5 GB free disk space
-
Step 2: Check software environment
Ensure that the required Autodesk products are licensed and started in the correct version. SuCri integrates directly into these host applications.
Expected Result: If your system meets these values, SuCri can be successfully started and used for basic tasks.
Important Notes
For large projects or complex steel structures, we recommend the following optimized configuration for a smooth workflow:
- Processor: Intel Core i7 or AMD Ryzen 7 (or better)
- Memory (RAM): 16–32 GB
- Graphics Card: NVIDIA RTX series or equivalent with at least 6 GB VRAM
- Hard Drive Space: SSD with at least 20 GB free disk space
- Screen Resolution: 1920 × 1080 or higher (Full HD)
In addition, please note the following infrastructure aspects:
- Network Access: A stable internet connection is required for automatic updates and optional features.
- Licensing: Activation of SuCri is carried out via a license key that is linked directly to your specific Autodesk environment.
Troubleshooting
-
Problem: The application reacts very slowly with large models.
Solution: Check whether your system meets the recommended requirements (especially RAM and VRAM). Ensure that the latest graphics card driver from the manufacturer is installed. -
Problem: The software won't start even though the hardware is sufficient.
Solution: Verify that .NET Framework 4.8 is correctly installed and that the supported Autodesk versions (2024 or newer) are active on the system.
