4.1.1. Automatic nominal diameter check

Automatic Nominal Diameter Check

The Automatic Nominal Diameter Check function automatically checks during the placement of pipe supports whether the outside diameter of the pipe lies within the permissible clamping range of the support. This ensures that incorrect combinations are recognized and visually highlighted during modeling, which significantly increases design quality.

Prerequisites

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Select support: Select the desired support from the pipe spec (e.g., a Pipe Shoe DN 100 with a clamping range of 109–115 mm).
  2. Placement: Place the support at the intended location on the pipe in the model.
  3. Automatic Check: During placement, the system checks in the background whether the outside diameter of the pipe falls within the stored clamping range of the support.
  4. Warning Message: If the value does not match, the following warning message automatically appears: Pipe OD not in support range.
  5. Confirmation: Click the OK button to confirm the message.

Expected Result: The support is placed in the model, but is displayed in red to visually indicate the dimensional discrepancy.
