4.1.2. Automatic connection check
Automatic Connection Check
The "Automatic Connection Check" function automatically detects when a placed support is not correctly connected to a pipe. This ensures that planning errors are identified immediately and model quality is maintained.
Prerequisites
- You have successfully loaded the SuCri Add-in.
- You have opened a piping model with defined pipe specs.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Place support: Select a support from the pipe spec and place it on a free surface or at the desired position in the model area.
-
Automatic Detection:
The system automatically checks in the background whether a valid connection exists between the support and the corresponding pipe. If no connection is detected, the system colors the support red as a warning.
Expected result: Incorrectly placed or loose supports are immediately highlighted visually.
-
Perform Correction:
Reposition the support so that it snaps correctly onto the pipe.
Expected result: As soon as the correct connection is established, the red marking disappears automatically.
Important Notes
- Visual Feedback: The color red always means that there is no valid connection. In this case, check the placement position and the connection logic.
- Quality Assurance: This function prevents unconnected components and increases efficiency by quickly finding placement errors.
- Recommendation: While disabling the warning is technically possible, it is not recommended, as the display represents a critical quality feature of the design.
Troubleshooting
-
Problem: The support remains red even though it visually rests against the pipe.
Solution: Check whether the support geometry supports the required connection. Move the support slightly until the snapping is confirmed by the system. If necessary, check the support spec or the connection conditions in the catalog.
