4.2.10. Detach (SuCri2DetachSupport)

This manual describes in detail the Detach (SuCri2DetachSupport) function of SuCri, a plugin for AutoCAD Plant 3D and Advance Steel. You will learn how to efficiently detach supports, pipe clamps, or other construction elements from their source components in order to edit them independently.

Prerequisites

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Open SuCri menu:

Navigate to the SuCri ribbon bar in your model. Look for the SuCri2DetachSupport option, which is usually found in the Module 2 - Functions section. Alternatively, enter the command SuCri2DetachSupport directly into the command line.

  2. Activate "Detach" command:

Click the Detach button. The command line will now prompt you to select an object.

  3. Select individual part to detach:

Click on the component (e.g., a pipe clamp or support) that is to be separated. If necessary, confirm the selection with the Enter key.

  4. Select source component (optional):

If the system prompts you, select the source component or anchor point (e.g., the beam) from which the connection should be detached.

  5. Confirmation and Execution:

After selection, SuCri performs the separation. The component retains its intelligent properties but is now geometrically independent.

  6. Verify separation:

Move the component as a test. The expected result is that the element can be moved freely without affecting the position of the original anchor point.
