Display of excess components on the drawing
In certain cases, significantly more components may be displayed on a generated drawing than originally intended in the model. This article helps you identify the cause of this behavior and configure the display correctly.
Prerequisites
- The affected drawing has already been generated in the system.
- You have the permissions to edit the drawing's view settings.
Step-by-step instructions

Check visibility settings
Click on the View Settings tab in the menu and check the activated filters for components.
Expected result: Only the desired component categories should be selected.

Update drawing references
Select the Update References function to ensure that no outdated geometry data is present in the cache.
Expected result: The drawing is recalculated and excess elements are removed.
Important notes
- Layer Management: Check whether additional components are located on hidden layers that are automatically shown during export.
- Assembly Structure: Ensure that no unwanted instances have been duplicated within the assembly hierarchy.
Troubleshooting
- Symptom: Components continue to appear despite filtering.
- Solution: Perform a complete Rebuild of the model and ensure that there are no ghost components in the bill of materials.
