8.5.6. Incorrect profile when importing Sikla profiles (HEA-100 is imported)
This guide describes how to resolve an import problem with Sikla profiles in Plant 3D, where an HEA-100 profile is incorrectly loaded instead of the desired component. The cause lies in incorrect user mappings within the database that must be corrected.
Prerequisites
- Access to the Management Tools of Plant 3D / Advance Steel.
- Administrative permissions for the project database.
Step-by-Step Instructions
-
Open Management Tools
Start the Plant 3D Management Tools and select the corresponding project database where the import problem is occurring.
-
Check Tables
Navigate to the Table Editor and identify the existing incorrect mapping in the relevant tables. Specifically examine the tables
UserMappingandProfileMapping. -
Remove Incorrect Mapping
Find and delete the incorrect entry that redirects the Sikla profiles to the HEA-100. Save the changes and close the database.
-
Re-import Profile
Restart the import of the Sikla profiles. The system should now adopt the correct profiles without incorrect assignment.
Expected Result: The Sikla profiles are displayed in Plant 3D with their correct geometry and designation.
Important Notes
- Check before every import whether User Mappings already exist in the database to avoid conflicts.
- Only use clear and verified mappings.
- Best Practice: Always create a backup of the database before making manual changes to the mapping tables.
Troubleshooting
- Problem: Profile continues to be imported incorrectly despite deletion.
- Solution: Restart Plant 3D to ensure that the database caches are cleared and the changes from the Management Tools are active.
