Installation and Setup
In this guide, you will learn how to correctly install the plugin for Autodesk Plant 3D™ and prepare it for its first use. Proper setup ensures that all functions of the specs and Python scripts are seamlessly available in your CAD environment.
Prerequisites
Before you begin the installation, please ensure that your system meets the following requirements:
- Autodesk Plant 3D™: Version 2022 or higher must be installed.
- Python Scripts: These must already be defined in the corresponding specs.
- .NET Framework: Version 4.8 or higher (if not already present on the system).
Step-by-Step Instructions
Follow these steps to implement the software on your system:

Download Installer
Download the current version of the installer directly from our official website.

Run Installation
Launch the downloaded file and follow the instructions of the installation wizard on your screen.

Check Plugin Integration
After the process is complete, the plugin will be automatically loaded into your Autodesk Plant 3D™ environment.

Restart Software
Restart Autodesk Plant 3D™ to ensure correct integration and initialization of all components.
Expected result: When the software starts, the plugin menu or the corresponding toolbar will be displayed in the user interface.
Initial Configuration
After successful installation, the paths for correct data processing must be stored:
- Click on the plugin settings and define the default directories for your specs.
- Enter the path for the Python scripts used, so that the component geometries can be calculated correctly.
Important Notes
- Administrator Rights: Ensure that you have sufficient write permissions for the program directories during installation.
- Spec Compatibility: Check in advance whether your used Python scripts are compatible with the installed Plant 3D™ version.
