Glossary: Important Terms in the Application
In this glossary, you will find definitions and explanations for the most important technical terms and concepts within the software. This will help you better understand the functions and documentations.
Definitions
- Bounding Box: A geometric boundary (usually in the form of a cuboid) that completely encloses an object. It is used, among other things, to calculate space requirements or for collision checks.
- Pipe Class: A predefined collection of components, materials, and technical properties specified for a particular area of application (e.g., pressure ratings or media).
- Python Components: These are parametric components that can be flexibly created and controlled using Python scripts to represent complex geometries.
Important Notes
Please note that these terms are used consistently across different modules of the software. A deep understanding of these fundamentals significantly facilitates daily work with the design tools.
