SuCri Module 4 – Configuring and Using Component Import
The component import allows you to efficiently integrate parts into your work environment. In this article, you will learn how to choose between importing individual families, importing various size variants, and mass import (bulk import) to optimize your design process.

Before you begin the import, ensure that the corresponding component families or STEP files are stored in your system's access path.

Performing Individual Import
Use this function to load a specific component family into your drawing. The system places the component with a predefined standard distance. -
Configuring Size Import
Choose this option if you want to import all available sizes of a component family into the current drawing at once. After calling the command, you will be dynamically prompted for the desired distance settings, providing maximum flexibility in the arrangement of the variants.Expected Result: All stored size levels of the selected family are clearly placed in the drawing.

Using Bulk Import for Multiple Files
The bulk import is used to process a large number of different components as well as external STEP files in parallel. This saves time during the initial setup of projects with many different parts.
Important Notes
- Dynamic Prompts: During size import, pay attention to the prompts in the command line to define the distances correctly.
- Data Formats: In addition to native formats, the bulk import also supports the universal STEP format to ensure compatibility with external supplier data.
- Best Practice: Use individual import for specific additions and bulk import for the initial assembly of your component library in a drawing.
