    This tutorial explains in detail how to use the SuCri function MTO Heights [DWG] to export all heights of the supports present in your current DWG file. The export is performed in Excel format and provides a clear list for further processing and documentation.

    Prerequisites

    • The SuCri Plugin is installed and licensed in AutoCAD Plant 3D or Advance Steel.
    • The relevant DWG file with placed 3D supports is open.
    • Microsoft Excel is installed on your system to view the report.

    Step-by-Step Instructions

    1. Prepare AutoCAD / Advance Steel

    • Start your AutoCAD Plant 3D or Advance Steel application.
    • Open the DWG file containing the 3D models with the supports to be exported.
    • Expected Result: The 3D models are visible and all relevant supports are located in the model space.

    2. Call the "MTO Heights [DWG]" command

    • Navigate to the tools in the SuCri menu bar or ribbon.
    • Look for the MTO Heights [DWG] button (often found under Module 2 - Functions) and click it.
    • Expected Result: The system analyzes the drawing; a dialog window opens to save the file.

    3. Define the storage location for the Excel report

    • Navigate to your desired directory in the "Save As" dialog.
    • Enter a unique name in the File name field (e.g., SupportHeights_ProjectX.xlsx).
    • Click Save.
    • Expected Result: The system generates the report in the background.

    4. Verification of the exported data

    • After creation, Microsoft Excel opens automatically with the new file.
    • Check the columns for information such as support ID, component names, and the respective height values.
    • Expected Result: All support heights defined in the 3D model are displayed correctly and clearly.

    Important Notes

    • Active File: The function always refers exclusively to the DWG file currently open in the foreground.
    • Detection: Only elements that are correctly defined as "supports" in the system are exported.
    • Performance: For very large models, generating the Excel list may take a few seconds.

    Troubleshooting

    • Excel does not open automatically: Check if .xlsx files are correctly associated with Microsoft Excel in Windows. Otherwise, open the file manually from the directory selected in Step 3.
    • Missing supports in the report: Ensure that the supports are not on frozen or hidden layers.
    • Error message when calling the command: Check if your SuCri plugin is up to date or contact technical support at IntegaDesign GmbH if necessary.
