4.5.5. Check whether drawing was created with SuCri (SuCri4CheckSuCriDrawing)

    Overview

With Check whether drawing was created with SuCri you determine whether an ortho drawing was generated or edited by SuCri Module 4. For this purpose, SuCri stores an invisible identifier in the drawing as soon as Module 4 opens the ortho drawing for one of its commands, for example when creating views. The command reads this identifier.

Where can I find the function?

Only via the command line: SuCri4CheckSuCriDrawing. There is no button either in the Module 4 window or on the tool palette.

    How it works in detail

    1. Open the ortho drawing: Switch to the layout of the ortho drawing to be checked.

    2. Enter the command: Enter SuCri4CheckSuCriDrawing.

    3. Read the result: The Drawing check window appears with one of two messages:

      • "This drawing was created with SuCri." (information): The identifier is present.
      • "This drawing was NOT created with SuCri." (warning): The identifier is missing.

The command does not change the drawing.

    Application examples

Example 1: Clarifying the origin of a drawing

An ortho drawing comes back from a different project status. Before updating it with Module 4, you check whether it was created with SuCri at all.

Example 2: Preparing a support request

If a drawing behaves unusually when updated, the information whether it was created with SuCri belongs in the error description.

    Tips and best practices

    • Ortho drawings only: The identifier is set in ortho drawings. The check is not intended for 3D model drawings.
    • "Edited" counts too: The identifier is set when Module 4 processes the ortho drawing. A positive message therefore means: created with SuCri or edited with a Module 4 command.

    Troubleshooting

    • Wrong drawing: The command only runs in a layout of an ortho drawing. In a 3D model drawing or on the "Model" tab, SuCri reports this and aborts. Switch to the layout of the ortho drawing and start the command again.
    • Message "NOT created with SuCri" for one of your own drawings: The drawing was created without Module 4, for example with the standard commands of Plant 3D™.
