    Overview

Selection marks all components that belong to an assembly. This way you answer in one click the question of what later ends up in the bill of materials and layout.

Where do I find the function?

In the Module 4 window under Quick access, there Selection. Alternatively via the command line with SuCri4SelectSupport.

    How it works in detail

You click on a single part of the assembly, and everything belonging to it is marked along with it. Exactly this scope is then in the bill of materials and is derived into the layout.

The function is therefore suitable as a check after every change. If, for example, a foot is removed with Detach and the orthocube is regenerated, another call shows that the foot no longer belongs to it and is also no longer in the bill of materials.

    Application examples

    Example 1: Checking before deriving

Before a drawing is generated, you check with one click whether the scope is correct. That is faster than checking the finished derivation and reworking it.

    Example 2: Cross-checking after detaching

After removing components, you immediately see whether everything intended is really out and nothing necessary is missing.

    Tips and best practices

    • Call after every change: It costs one click and saves incorrect derivations.
    • One part is enough: You do not have to search for the whole assembly, any associated component is sufficient.
