In this article you will learn how to fix display problems where profiles in Advance Steel are only shown as triangles. This faulty geometry occurs when the link to the profile definitions is incomplete and can be solved by correctly integrating the databases.

Prerequisites

  • You have local administrator rights on your system.
  • The corresponding profile package is installed.
  • Advance Steel is closed during the patch process.

Step-by-step guide

  1. Locate the executable file of the SuCri Patcher in your installation directory.
  2. Run the SuCri Patcher by right-clicking and selecting run as administrator. This ensures that the profile information is registered correctly in the internal databases of Advance Steel.
  3. Within the patcher, check whether all paths are set correctly to your current Advance Steel version.
  4. Start the patch process and wait for the success message.
  5. Restart Advance Steel and open your project.
    Expected result: The profiles (e.g. H profiles or rectangular tubes) are now displayed in their actual geometry instead of as triangles.

Important notes

  • New installations: Run the SuCri Patcher again after every update or every new installation of Advance Steel.
