    Overview

Update all views brings a finished layout up to date when the 3D model has changed. Dimensions and annotations are automatically repositioned in the process, you do not have to worry about it.

Where do I find the function?

In the Module 4 window under Drawings, there Update views. Alternatively via the command line with SuCri4PlantOrthoUpdateAllView.

    How it works in detail

The process consists of two parts. First in the 3D model: add the new components to the assembly via Attach, where a window drawn open is sufficient, since associated parts are already recognized. SuCri reports the existing SuNo, you confirm and have the ortho cube regenerated.

Then in the layout: call the command and decide whether the old annotations should be kept or replaced. When replacing, clean new dimensions are created that include the added elements.

    Application examples

    Example: Add feet afterwards

The assembly gets base plates. You attach them, have the ortho cube regenerated and update all views in the layout with Replace. The feet are then contained in all views and in the dimensioning.

    Tips and best practices

    • Model first, then layout: Without attaching in the model, the update finds nothing new.
    • Regenerate the ortho cube: Otherwise the new parts remain outside the derived area.
    • Replace instead of keep: Only then are the annotations adapted to the new scope.
