4.4.5. Import supports (SuCri3ImportSupports)
On this page
Overview
Import supports brings supports previously exported from Plant 3D™ into Advance Steel™. Both the positions and the support tags are taken over in the process.
This allows steel construction planned in Plant 3D™ to be further processed in Advance Steel™ without rebuilding it.
Where do I find the function?
In Advance Steel™ via the SuCri interface, there Import supports.

How it works in detail
The export is carried out beforehand in Plant 3D™ with the export command from Module 2, there is a separate video for this. In Advance Steel™ a single click is then enough, and all supports appear at the correct position.
You will then find the support tags in the component properties under the user attributes.
Application examples
Example: Take over welded assemblies
Three welded assemblies created in Plant 3D™ are to be detailed in Advance Steel™. After export and import, they are in place, including their tags, and can be assigned.
Tips and best practices
- Export first: Without the export from Module 2, there is nothing to import.
- Check the tags: Via the user attributes you immediately see whether the assignment to the original support has been preserved.
