9.1. Terms, Glossary of SuCri terms

In this section you will find an overview and explanation of the most important technical terms and designations used in connection with SuCri. A clear understanding of these terms helps you to make optimal use of the software's functions and to better understand the documentation.
Glossary
- Advance Steel: Autodesk application for steelwork, which in combination with SuCri enables a continuous process chain right through to manufacturing.
- Automation engine: The heart of SuCri. This logic analyzes inputs, interprets design rules and automatically generates components, typicals and documentation.
- Assembly (SuNo): Logical unit of several steel or support elements that are managed and documented together.
- Bundle interface: Official plugin interface from Autodesk. It enables the clean integration of SuCri without manual adjustments and ensures update safety.
- Content path: Folder in which pipe classes, templates and libraries are stored. The correct path is a prerequisite for using SuCri.
- Dynamic properties: Function (from Module 2) with which components can be flexibly adjusted afterwards, without having to place them anew.
- Manufacturing documents: Automatically derived plans, drawings and bills of materials that are used for production and assembly.
- License manager: Central tool for managing SuCri licenses. Here you activate licenses or release them for other users.
- Module: Function package within SuCri. There are currently four modules (1–4) that cover different focuses: from basics through Turbo tools to documentation.
- Ortho template: Drawing template in Plant 3D that is used and extended by SuCri to generate consistent orthos and manufacturing drawings.
- Primary steelwork: Load-bearing main structures (e.g. columns, beams, frames) that form the basic framework of a plant.
- Secondary steelwork: Supplementary components (e.g. brackets, railings, stairs) that functionally extend the primary steelwork.
- Bill of materials (BOM): Automatically generated list of all components used, with quantities, positions and markings.
- Typicals: Predefined, reusable designs (e.g. supports, bearings) that can be placed automatically.

- Use the terms consistently in your project communication in order to avoid misunderstandings.
- Please note that certain functions such as the dynamic properties require corresponding licensing of the higher modules.
