In this module you will find all functions and tools for placing, managing, modifying and evaluating supports and clamping systems in AutoCAD Plant 3D. This section supports you in efficiently editing drawing and project data.

How to call the functions

  • Dashboard: SuCri tab > Module 2 panel > manufacturer button of your licensed catalog. The dashboard opens with the menus Quick Access, Turbo Tools, Properties, Secondary Steel, Reports and Documentation. Which manufacturer buttons are visible depends on your license.
  • SuCri tool palette: In the dashboard via Pin to tool palette. The palette arranges the commands in groups (Support Unit (SU), Single Placement, Multiple Placement, Project, MTO & Reports as well as the collapsed groups Xrefs and Extras).
  • Command line: All commands can also be started directly via their command name.
  • Settings: SuCri tab > Settings panel > Settings (command SuCriSettings), Module 2 section.

  • Support [x] (SuCri2AutoSelectMultipleSupport): Places supports for all selected pipes.
  • Clamping system [x] (SuCri2AutoSelectMultipleClamp): Places clamps for all supports on the selected structures.
  • Support+Clamp [x] (SuCri2AutoSelectMultipleSupportClamp): Places supports with clamps for all selected pipes.
  • Support Xref [x] (SuCri2SelectMultipleSupportFromRef): Places supports for pipes taken from an attached xref.
  • Clamp Xref [x] (SuCri2SelectMultipleClampFromRef): Places clamps for pipes taken from an attached xref.
  • Support+Clamp Xref [x] (SuCri2SelectMultipleSupportClampFromRef): Places supports with clamps for pipes taken from an attached xref.

Project (properties and replacing)

  • Dynamic properties (SuCri2DynamicProperties): Updates the dynamic properties of the supports in the selected drawings.
  • Spec properties (SuCri2UpdatePropertiesFromSpec): Resets support properties in the selected drawings to the spec.
  • Replace (SuCri2ReplaceExistingSupport): Replaces existing supports in the selected drawings based on the replace map.
  • Validate Supports (SuCri2ValidateSupports): Checks clamp fit, support height, dynamic properties and pipe connection of the supports in the selected drawings.

MTO and reports

  • MTO (SuCri2GetReport): Exports the bill of materials (MTO) of the selected drawings to Excel.
  • MTO Heights (SuCri2GetTotalHeight): Exports the total heights of the supports to Excel.
  • MTO MPSS (SuCri2MPSSMTOExport): Catalog-specific bill of materials export; in the dashboard of the "MPSS" manufacturer button, the MTO button starts this export.

Xrefs

  • Attach Xref (SuCri2AttachSupportWithRef): Assigns the selected parts to a support unit; the reference comes from an attached xref.
  • Detach Xref (SuCri2DetachXref): Removes xref references from the support unit.
  • Detach All Xrefs (SuCri2DetachAllXref): Removes the xref references from all support units.

Extras

Catalog-specific commands

These commands appear in the tool palette only in the dashboard of the respective catalog.

  • Attach Double Profile (SuCri2AttachDoubleProfile), Detach Double Profile (SuCri2DetachDoubleProfile), Select Double Profile (SuCri2SelectDoubleProfile).
  • Update Dummy Parts (SuCri2UpdateDummyParts), Clean Dummy Parts (SuCri2CleanDummyParts), Multi Pos. Numbers (SuCri2MultiPosNumbers).
  • Add Screws (SuCri2AutoAddScrewForPlate), Add Plate (SuCri2AutoAddPlate), Reverse Bolt (SuCri2ReverseMPSSBolt), Align Face (SuCri2AlignFace).

Settings and vendor data

  • Module 2 settings: tabs General, Copy Properties, Restrict table, MTO filter, Replace map and Export templates in the Settings window.
  • Vendor data (SuCri2VendorData): Editor for the rule tables of all installed manufacturers (support data, single parts, MTO language). Replaces the former commands for loading the dynamic properties and the language mapping.
