SuCri Module – First run and licensing

After successful installation, you start SuCri directly from Autodesk Plant 3D or Advance Steel. In this article you will learn how to register the software on first run, activate the license and integrate the required pipe classes into your project.

Prerequisites

  • Successfully completed installation of the software.
  • An active internet connection for license registration and activation.
  • An already opened project in Autodesk Plant 3D or Advance Steel.

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Open the License Manager via the SuCri ribbon by clicking the lock icon.
  2. In the following window, click the key icon to request a trial version or register your license.

  3. Enter your personal data into the corresponding input fields.

  4. Read and accept the terms of use and then click the Register button.
  5. Select the desired product in the license list and transfer the license to your computer with the Pull button.
  6. Import pipe classes: Open the Project Manager in Plant 3D, navigate to Pipe classes, right-click and select Copy pipe classes into project... and load the supplied pipe classes from the IntegaDesign Cpak folder.
  7. Activate pipe class: In the ribbon, go to the Home tab > group Insert part, select the SuCri pipe class and place a first component in the model area.

Expected result: The icons in the SuCri ribbon are active and highlighted in color. Components can now be placed correctly from the selected pipe class in the model.

Important notes

Tip: If you want to transfer the license to another computer, simply release it in the License Manager with the Push function. The license can then be obtained on another workstation via Pull.

  • Make sure that the license is displayed as active (green) in the License Manager.
  • Note that an internet connection is mandatory for the functions Pull (obtain license) and Push (release license).

Troubleshooting

  • Ribbon not visible: Check under the Autodesk add-in settings whether the plugin is loaded and activated.
  • Components missing in the selection: Check whether the pipe classes were actually copied into the current project. A reference to the global catalog folder is often not sufficient for active use in the project.
  • License status stays red: Check your firewall settings. The License Manager must be able to communicate with the registration server.
