In this article you will learn how to correct faulty symbol assignments for supports in Plant 3D isometrics. The asterisk symbol ("*") appears when isometric generation cannot find a matching symbol for the SKEY of a support or the SKEY is missing. SuCri writes the SKEY of a SuCri support to the Plant 3D property ContentIsoSymbolDefinition.

Prerequisites

Make sure that SuCri Module 2 is installed and that you have editing rights for the isometric configuration of the current Plant 3D project.

Step-by-step guide

  1. Check the project setup: The SKEYs of the SuCri supports must be added to the isometric configuration when the project is set up. Check whether this step has been carried out for the current project. Expected result: The SuCri SKEYs are present in the isometric configuration of the project.
  2. Check the SKEY of the support: Select an affected support and check the value of ContentIsoSymbolDefinition in the Properties palette. If the field is empty or outdated, run SuCri2DynamicProperties for the drawing so that SuCri rewrites the properties of the supports.
  3. Check the symbol assignment: Make sure that a symbol is stored for exactly this SKEY in the isometric configuration of the project. In Plant 3D, SKEYs are assigned to symbol blocks in the file IsoSkeyAcadBlockMap.xml of the isometric style.
  4. Recreate the isometric: Create the isometric for the affected lines again. Expected result: Instead of the asterisk symbol, the correct symbols for the supports are displayed.
