Prerequisites

  • SuCri Module 3 is installed and licensed.
  • The manufacturer extension whose components you want to use is active.

The connection types

There is a separate command for each installation situation. You will find the commands in the Connections group of the SuCri tool palette and in the connection dialog (SuCri3ShowSelectConnection).

Step-by-step guide

  1. Determine the installation situation (e.g. profile butts against main profile = Collision, type T).
  2. Start the appropriate command and select the profiles in the specified order, the main profile first.
  3. Select the desired connection from the displayed list.
    Expected result: SuCri places the connection with the components from the manufacturer's catalog.

Which extension provides which connections?

  • Each manufacturer extension comes with its own catalog. The connections are stored per manufacturer in the Module 3 installation folder under Resources\VendorCatalogues\<Hersteller>.
  • SuCri only offers connections from the active manufacturer's catalog that match the selected profile combination.
  • You can get a complete overview of the connections via the index data sheets (see 7.5.8. Where can I see which Connections are available? (Advance Steel)).

Troubleshooting

  • No connection offered: Check the type and selection order and whether the profile is supported in the active manufacturer's catalog. For unsupported profiles, see 7.5.7. How can I work with profiles that are not supported.
  • Connection no longer fits after a profile change: Run SuCri3ValidateConnections ("Validate connections"); SuCri offers valid replacement connections.
