Displaying the support number (SuNo) as a property in the title block

In SuCri Module 4, a support number (SuNo) is automatically assigned during the generation of drawings and stored in the drawing properties. In this guide you will learn how to permanently integrate this information into your title block in order to optimize the presentation of your drawings and ensure the uniqueness of the documents.

Prerequisites

• The drawing was created or generated with SuCri Module 4.
• You have the permissions to edit the title block or the block definitions in AutoCAD / Plant 3D.

Step-by-step instructions

1. Open the Module 4 drawing. SuCri has already automatically created the SuNo property in the background and assigned the corresponding value (e.g. "2A").
2. Open the editing for your title block (for example by double-clicking the block or editing the attribute definition).
3. Navigate to the location in the title block where the number should appear and add a new field.
4. In the dialog window, select the following path:
   Menu: Insert → Field → Drawing properties → SuNo
5. Place the field at the desired position (e.g. in the title block or under the drawing number).
6. Save the changes and perform a regeneration (command: REGEN).

Expected result: The support number (SuNo) is now automatically read from the drawing properties and displayed in the title block.

Important notes

• Automation: Since SuCri automatically creates the SuNo property with every drawing creation, no manual maintenance of the value in the metadata is required.
• Best practice: Integrate this field directly into your project template (DWT). This way you ensure that the support number appears immediately in the title block with every future drawing without manual intervention.
• Consistency: Use the property SuNo consistently to ensure a unique mapping between the technical drawing and the SuCri data record.

Troubleshooting

• Field is displayed as "####": This often means that the drawing has not yet been saved or that the SuNo property does not yet exist in this specific document. Check in the drawing properties whether the entry is present.
• Number does not update: Use the command REA (regenerate all) to update the field values in the display.
