5. Settings of the SuCri modules

Overview

With the settings, you adapt SuCri to your way of working and your project standards in AutoCAD Plant 3D. This chapter describes every setting of the SuCri modules with its default value, possible values and effect.

Where can I find the settings?

All settings are edited in one shared Settings window. Open the Settings window with the command SuCriSettings or in the SuCri ribbon via the Settings button. The window can also be opened without an open drawing.

• On the left you will find a separate Module n tab for each installed module (Module 2 to Module 5). Modules that are not installed do not appear.
• At the top right you switch the Product language between English and German. It applies to all modules together, see Product language.
• On the Module 2 and Module 4 tabs, you apply changes with Save. If you close the window with unsaved changes, SuCri asks you first. On the Module 3 tab, every change is saved immediately.
• The values are saved in the files sucri2_settings.json, sucri3_settings.json and sucri4_settings.json in the CommonData folder of the respective plug-in package.

Settings for creating connections in Plant 3D and Advance Steel: tolerances, cut length, connection shortening, screws and layers. See 5.2. Module 3 Settings.

5.3. Module 4 Settings

Settings for ortho drawings: naming and drawing language, layers and styles, views and scales, layout plan, annotation, dimensions and behavior. See 5.3. Module 4 Settings.

5.4. Module 5 Settings

Settings for creating typicals on the Module 5 tab, including the option Snap to face center within (mm).

We recommend that you check the settings carefully to ensure the best possible automation and standardization in your projects. In the Settings window, point to a setting to see a short description.
