8.4.2. Components appear unconnected (ProfileWeldedTogether)

This article clarifies whether the display of "unconnected" components in AutoCAD Plant 3D can be influenced via a welding option. In short: no. The options for welding connections exist in SuCri Module 3 only in Advance Steel.
Background
- SuCri creates welded connections only for connections in Advance Steel. In Plant 3D, the setting is ignored.
- For this reason, the Profiles welded checkbox in the connection dialog is hidden in Plant 3D.
- The associated settings "Auto create weld" and "Set profiles welded together" ("Settings" window, "Module 3" tab) also only take effect in Advance Steel.
Procedure in Plant 3D
- Check whether the profiles are geometrically aligned with each other correctly and whether the connection was placed with SuCri.
- If necessary, update the connection, e.g. after changes to the profiles.
- If you transfer the structure to Advance Steel and the components appear unconnected there, follow the instructions in the article Components appear unconnected (ProfileWeldedTogether).
Important notes
- Consistency: Define clear project standards for welding options in Advance Steel so that all users in the team work with the same display.
