In this guide you will learn how to include manufacturer profiles directly from the pipe class in your planning. In addition to the classic steel construction catalog, this offers you flexible options for specific modeling requirements.

Prerequisites
- The corresponding pipe class with integrated steel construction profiles must be loaded in your project.
- You should have basic knowledge of handling pipe class components.
Step-by-step guide
- Select profile: Select the desired manufacturer profile from the active pipe class and place it in your drawing.

Adjust length: Use the grips on the component to dynamically change the length on both sides.
Result: The change is automatically transferred to the Length property, which ensures a correct material takeoff. - Configure additional details: Open the Properties menu of the object to switch further details on or off as needed.
Important notes
- It is generally recommended to use profiles from the classic steel construction catalog. The pipe class variant is intended for specific special cases.
- Warning about system performance: Additional details, in particular the hole function, have a strong effect on performance. Use them primarily for customer presentations or renderings.
- Use detailed representations sparingly in order to maintain the model speed.
Troubleshooting
- Length is displayed incorrectly in the bill of materials: Make sure that the length was defined via the dynamic grips or the properties window so that the value is correctly synchronized in the Length field.
- Model reacts slowly: Deactivate visual details that are not needed, such as bore holes or complex edges, in the properties menu.
