Installing Module 2

In this guide you will learn how to set up Module 2 correctly on your system using the installer. A clean installation ensures that all required components and extensions are loaded properly and work smoothly in AutoCAD Plant 3D.

Prerequisites

• AutoCAD Plant 3D 2022 to 2027 is installed. Module 2 is loaded exclusively in Plant 3D.
• Module 1 is installed, since Module 2 builds on it.
• The current installation package for Module 2 is available locally on your system.
• You have the administrator permissions required to install software.

Step-by-step guide

1. Step 1: Start the installation

   Start the process by double-clicking the corresponding installation file.

   Expected result: The installation wizard opens.

2. Step 2: Select extensions

   In the following dialog, select the Extensions (extension components) you need for your work with Module 2.

3. Step 3: Confirm the installation path

   Confirm the installation path. By default, the bundle is installed in the APPDATA directory of your local user profile.

4. Step 4: Accept the terms of use

   Read the terms of use carefully and accept them to continue with the process.

5. Step 5: Run the installation

   Click the Install button to start copying the files to your hard drive.

6. Step 6: Complete the setup

   As soon as the process has completed successfully, click Finish to close the wizard.

   Expected result: Module 2 is installed and will be loaded the next time AutoCAD Plant 3D starts.

7. Step 7: Check the result in Plant 3D

   Restart AutoCAD Plant 3D and open the SuCri tab in the ribbon. Check whether the Module 2 group appears with the buttons of your licensed manufacturers. If no license has been activated yet, set it up as described in 2.3. First run.

Important notes

• Installation path: By default, the bundle is stored in the following system path: C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\ApplicationPlugins (folder SuCri_Module2.bundle).
• Avoid file conflicts: Make sure that AutoCAD Plant 3D is completely closed during the installation.
• License-dependent buttons: In the Module 2 group, a manufacturer button only appears if your license includes that manufacturer.

Troubleshooting

• Module 2 group is missing: Check whether the SuCri_Module2.bundle folder exists under %AppData%\Autodesk\ApplicationPlugins and whether your Plant 3D version is supported (see 2.1. System requirements).
• Group present, but manufacturer button missing: Check in the license manager whether a valid license for this manufacturer is active.
